Stacey is Vice Chairman of Ygrene Energy Fund, an innovative clean energy finance company which has deployed over $2B in renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate resiliency projects. Ygrene has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy as a “Financial Ally” and granted the “Award for Leadership in Energy Efficiency Financing” and “Goal Achiever Award: Better Buildings Challenge”. Stacey also accepted the “Commitment to Action Award” by the Clinton Global Initiative and the “Edison Award: Clean Energy Finance Model” on behalf of Ygrene. Stacey was Ygrene’s President and Chief Executive Officer from 2012-2016, spearheading the design and growth of Ygrene’s innovative PACE model and scaling Ygrene from startup to over $1B in clean energy upgrades. She has been an advocate for climate solutions, the clean energy economy and climate justice across California and the nation.

Prior to leading Ygrene, Stacey was a candidate for U.S. Congress in California’s 2nd congressional district where she advocated for critical economic, environmental and social initiatives, and authored “Making More in America: How Restoring America’s Manufacturing Strength Can Help Rebuild Our Middle Class”. 

Stacey is co-founder of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology at the University of California Berkeley, where she has been an Industry Fellow, lecturer and advisor to new ventures. Stacey also spent 15 years as a senior executive in the high-tech industry at Siebel Systems, Parametric Technology Corporation and as co-founder of InPart Design. She has been a pioneer in social enterprise, advising ventures and leading workshops on conscious business and leadership. She is an active board member of the California Technology Council, CDS Visual, The Shift Network, Tripura Foundation, and the Institute of Noetic Sciences.

Stacey has been profiled in publications such as Forbes, BusinessWeek, and Harvard Business Review, was dubbed a “Visionary Leader for social impact through business innovation” by the California Endowment and California Vision 2020, was honored as a Top Women Alumnae by Harvard Business School, and has been named one of the “Most Influential Women in Business” by San Francisco Business Times. Stacey holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
